This weekend I was lucky enough to go to Huntington Beach!  

Lovely weather - clouds, grey, sprinkles, beach!!!

It's so nice being outside and in the gardens and the architecture is fabulous!

And - the best part, I got to wear my New Zealand hat to church for Easter!

This weekend was one of DOING!

The universe did NOT want me to leave my house apparently...

ran out of gas 12' from my garage.  AH!

Sunday I tried to go for a bike ride, checked the tires, helmet on...

Rode about 15' and, flat tire.  OY!

I attempted to help Cara w/ her ottoman slip cover...

Hung pics - and now my downstairs feels COZY again!  :)

Excited for a short work week!  Whoot!

#100!!! 100th Post

SO exciting!  

This is my 100th Post!  

So, I got a little dressed up for the event!  HA!

I'm famous for the 'self-portraits', hee hee

I wish/love that people read my blog, I have lots of funny blonde stories!  And, I wish I could highlight all my craftiness b/c I totally blog-stalk crafters!  So fun!

Today - is a re-cap of my fun weekend with a few of my favorite people!

Friday night Leigh and Katie and I went to Scottsdale to a yummy place called White Chocolate Grille!  mmm  It was fun to get dressed up and go out! 

We went to our hotel, The Westin Kierland in-which Leigh, (the master deal finder) found for $71 a night!  Whoot!  So we were jumping onTO the pouffy beds (not to be mistaken w/ jumping ON the bed), possibly giggling, a BIT... and security came to our door - 10:30... The security gal rolled her eyes, apparently we were too noisy for the swanky old timers next door I suppose.  So I laughed harder - probably louder cause... we're sober.  ha! 

I wish we could have taken advantage of the sweet pool and started my TAN...  But, it had rained all night (no biggie, Rain's my fav) and it smelled delicioius, but no sunshine!

I love this place, if you walk out the back doors onto the 'green' in the am, it's misty and SO gorgeous!

So what's a girl to do?  Go shopping of course!  We shopped around Kierland, my Mom loves Kierland and being in AZ at Easter, they have these pretty, tall, yellow yucca shoots and they do bunny topiaries!

Sunday, to Thank the Steele's for watching Dixie - in the rain - in which she was a little bit of a handful for a 3 pounder, I made my 1st Pot Roast w/ carrots, potatoes & Onions!  mmmm  (after all was said and done, I think I actually doubled the cook time)   It was good - edible!  :)

I'd made CUPCAKES and everyone got to dip and decorate their own!  mmm.

After, the girls had a shoe fashion show and dressed dixie up and took her for a walk in my heels!  

Such a DELIGHTFUL Sunday!!!

Stickies

So, my Dad put these sticky pads by my doors to catch infiltrating bugs.  Really, very kind of him.
Knowing I'm a bug freak!
They are about a 1/2 sheet of paper and MAJORLY STICKY!!

The other night, I was waiting for laundry to finish at 11:30 and the parentals were going to bed.  My Mom said I should take Dix out again.  Oy, I'm in my pj's, so tired.  OK.

I stumble to the front door, I had already lined up the sticky pads on either side of the door frame.  I barely open the door - checking for other dogs outside.
Dixie SPEEDS past me and rolls out the door - Squeeling!
She had run RIGHT thru the sticky paper and it had stuck to her leggie, underside of her furry tail and... her bummy.  Aaahhh ha ha !  She literally rolled out the door - Stunned

Hee hee, she was desperately looking at me for help- leg curled up - stuck.
I walked over and got her leggy out, then her tail (screech) and then...
It was stuck in her tufted bummy fur.  HA HA HAH A HA.

I said, 'hold on, you're gonna get a waxing'.  RIP!  Ha!  she screamed again and sulked back in the house.  Hee hee, I coaxed her out to the grass to potty after a min. or 2.

Then, the other night - I was laying in bed, she was walking around - trying to find her cozy spot and I noticed... A little round bald spot on her bum-bum next to her tail.  HA!

p.s.  Last night Dix was watching something, then I wasn't paying attn and she gave a little yelp and was looking at me... Front feet stuck in the sticky pad again.  She was trying to chase a little roach that had snuck in the door.  HA!

A Fridge & a Peep Show

My new house has black appliances!  yippee, I always wanted black, they would have rocked w/ my cream cabinets :(  Jesse said, "i'm not moving 2 fridges" so, schemey me... I thought I'd buy a black one and sell my white one before he came.  

Well, that didn't quite happen.  I got distracted (i.e. skiing, HBB) and it was they day of Dad's arrival.  I had looked on craigslist for weeks.  Last Tuesday, I said a little prayer and checked again.  Lo and behold... there was a perfectly priced, aged, colored fridge - right next to work!

I had to get a massage at 5 for my ski crash injuries and told the dude I'd be there at 6:30.  Mr. Amazing Masseur went till 6:40, i'm in La La Land so I get to my car and call fridge dude.
I said I was about 5 min. away and I'd be RIGHT THERE!  He said he'd open the garage.

As I walk up he sees me in the front window and goes to the garage.  I'm walking up the driveway and the garage door is opening... Bent over at the waist, is dude's wife - scrubbing the fridge!  In her shorty robe... with dripping wet hair.  

Apparently he hadn't told his wife I was coming at 6:30 but only when I had called on my way!!  MAYDAY!!  Poor wife, musta jumped outta the shower.  As I walked up she said, "i would never show this without cleaning it, SO SORRY!  We just use it for our soda and pizza out here".  No prob I say.  

So, I'm asking about the fridge and they are answering my questions, chatting away, chickie is madly spraying simply green and wiping the shelves off.  She reaches over and opens the freezer... boob pops out of her tiny robe, she keeps talking and just pulls her robe shut.  WHAT!!  The belt wouldn't stay tied, that thing came to right under her tushy.  WOW!  

A Fridge AND a peep show... I'll take it! 
 

Top 10 projects done?

Jesse and Michele have worked their GUTS out this weekend!! 

The Kitchen is a FABULOUS sick green!  whoot!

The downstairs is all painted,  yippee!

And I am officially IN!  

15 dudes and 2 YM showed up to help me move, HOLY COW!!!  

I am SO grateful!

I gave out $5 In-N-Out gift cards to everyone for a THANK YOU!  

They were so surprised!  :)

So, here's my 10 Ten project review of last week's goals.

1.  The Kitchen IS green, yum!

2.  No Grey yet... hmmm

3.  Delicious Drapes are hung and it is HOMEY!

4.  No Rug/Carpet yet, need ideas on where to go.

5.  Handles are Brushed Nickel and they JUST arrived at work!

6.  The Garage door opener is in and working AND my car even fits into the garage already!

7.  The Powder room is... not done... going to look at paint at lunch.

8.  No baseboards yet  :(

9.  My bed is sitting lonely in the garage, waiting for a buyer.. or paint.  

If painted, this is what I'm going for...

But I found THIS SO CUTE bed this weekend at Potato Barn!

10.  My Bedroom is NOT painted... b/c I can't find a color light enough that doesn't look like cotton candy.  (although I LOVE Cotton Candy!)

Here are 10 things that ARE COMPLETE!!

1.  New Black fridge is IN and hooked up (and clean, 3 hrs later - great story on the new fridge to come)

2.  Bugs are sprayed and traps are set by each door (a funny story on this later)

3.  Chandeliers and Bath Bars are hung!!

4.  My room is in working order - enough to get ready and find clothes :)

5.  The living room is arranged so cute!  And the whole downstairs is set up!

6.  I got a new tv stand

7.  The shelving in the garage is hung and stacked and getting organized

8.  All my blinds are shortened to fit the windows perfectly!

9.  Laundry room is up and running!

10.  Insulation added to the attic to reduce the air bill!

HOLLA!  I couldn't be HAPPIER!!!  

And I went shopping and found these ADORABLE pieces!!
